MyAdesso

What we're doing to improve patient compliance and What the patient sees

MyAdesso was created to address the issue of patient compliance. Behavioral change is notoriously challenging, and reaching patient compliance can be a nuanced challenge. Conversation and need always begins with communication between the provider and the patient. Adesso emphasizes the relationship between the patient and the provider as a team, with communication and behavioral feedback through technology. We encourage the woman to ask questions, and to feel like she is entering something special, different and new that is focused on her overall health and needs. Using words like “we” help to make the patient feel that she is part of a team. Let her know that everything will be done to help her be successful and healthy. Remind her that sometimes mistakes are made, but that does not mean she should give up. Be encouraging, understanding, and empathetic as the backdrop of all conversation. Understanding provides for that sense of teamwork, support and community.

MyAdesso begins with The Heart Score of 35 questions that drives the experience to make it unique for that individual. Where she is at risk based on the heart score is where her learning journey begins. She is also able to choose on her own what aspects of her life or her education she wants to engage in.

The 10 sessions educate about the main lifestyle issues like diet and exercise, sleep and stress, but also focus on job satisfaction, relationships, advocating with yourself, and understand lab tests, results and heart issues.

Throughout the experience, the woman is asked to target goals that she is choosing to focus on to reach her goal. These goals can then be tracked through the “Heart Chart” and on a daily basis through her own personal check-ins. Remote patients monitoring- smart watches to follow the goal heart rate with exercise, steps, heart rate variability, as well as scales, blood pressure cuffs or continuous glucose monitoring, can also be synced to MyAdesso, which becomes actionable data for not only the participant, but also the provider.

When the patient signs on to the MyAdesso journey, she chooses the action steps that matter most to her, enabling her to tailor her experience to her own needs. In having a bespoke experience, the learning journey is relevant to the woman and therefore becomes more actionable to her. She is asked to then choose what she would like to track and monitor. This data becomes part of the “Heart Chart” which becomes a daily way for her to connect her behaviors and actions with her outcomes.

She can choose goals such as: blood pressure, steps, heart rate during exercise and time of exercise, sleep, stress management, diet and weight. The Heart Chart enables her to “journal” what her own personal goals are to keep her accountable.

Her personal laboratory data and CPET results will also enter MyAdesso, creating a mechanism of communication between the patient and provider, with both getting the same information, by which recommendations for diet, exercise, stress management, medications and supplements will be made.

There will be Remote Patient Monitoring devices which will also sync to MyAdesso, not only monitoring the goals through objective personal tools. The technology syncs the data to the patient’s Heart Chart and also to the EMR. Our device provides a relevant data aggregation for the information that it actionable to reach the desired outcomes. We will give the exercise heart rate and time of exercise to ensure there is compliance and behavioral change, instead of providing a massive amount of data that is not relevant for clinical care.
